Jesus drives a Chevy

What is Easter?
Easter is going to the sunrise service... (Well, only Tim went.)
Easter is getting up early to find an Easter basket hanging in the coat closet.
Easter is eating donuts for breakfast.
Easter is cute little dresses and a green striped shirt.
Easter is celebrating Jesus with other believers at church.
Easter is nursing Sonya halfway through the service
Easter is Caleb running up to the front of church in the middle of the sermon.
Easter is communion juice spilling on Tim's nice khaki pants.
Easter is enjoying a meal with family.
Easter is watching Matilda.
Easter is drinking hazelnut coffee and eating cake.
Easter is Tim chipping his front tooth a little bit. Oops!
Easter is taking a long nap.
Easter is having leftover ham and jello for dinner.
Easter is my two boys taking a walk on a warm spring evening.
Easter is reading Bible stories at bedtime.
Easter is praying and thanking Jesus for what He's done for us.
Easter is watching a movie with a loved one... (until he falls asleep 15 minutes into the movie).
Easter is staying up until 11pm with a fussy little girl.
Easter is finally falling asleep after a long day.

Then it's over as quickly as it came. All the anticipation, all the planning... gone already. The best part of the day was tucking Caleb into bed. We've been reading him a chapter of a children's Bible every night and he really seems to be interested and tries to understand everything. The night before, Tim fast forwarded to the Easter story and read it to Caleb. So last night, after I read about Abraham and Isaac, Caleb started telling me about how the bad men hit Jesus and then he rose again. It sounds like he's putting the pieces together. I'm so glad that he wasn't dwelling on his candy and gifts from the "Easter Bunny."

FYI: In case anyone was wondering, Jesus drives a Chevy. That's what Caleb told Tim during their walk last night. haha... such a funny little boy.
